I am a student in my final year at the University of Newcastle, studying a Bachelor of Communication and majoring in Public Relations. My strengths include creative, critical and professional writing and throughout my degree have gained decent experience developing communications plans and audits, media releases and many other integrated communications pieces on both corporate and public levels.
I'm a lover of travel and have spent almost 2 years in Canada living amongst the BC rockies. Through this experience I found a love for the mountains and real winters. I developed passions for snowboarding, downhill mountain biking, hiking, road trips, multi-culturalism and overall shenanigans. I also spent 5 months driving, camping and backpacking through central and western U.S.A. I look forward to all future travel opportunities and hope to spend more time living in another culture.
I have a keen interest in music and have previously played in a band for four years during and after High School. I was lucky enough to be able to play shows frequently throughout NSW and VIC during this time. Through this experience, I developed skills in public speaking and a stage presence and confidence that I carried over into my professional life. We also wrote and recorded songs that were also used in 2008 in an advertisement for the MTV/Xbox Chopper/GAME promotion, Australia wide. Favourite genres include Indie, Electronic, Rock, Dance and Folk and I like to see live music as much as possible.I am also currently learning to speak German (Ich lerne Deutsch zu sprechen).
